B.Ed and D.El.Ed Colege in Patna

Admission to B.Ed. Programme:

Eligibility:

Candidates with at least (50% marks) & (45% marks for SC & ST) above in the bachelor's/master's degree with at least two school subjects (English, Hindi, Mathematics, Botany + Zoology, Physics + Chemistry, Economics, History, Civics and Geography etc.) at the graduation level are eligible to apply. It is not sufficient for a candidate to have appeared at the degree examination and be awaiting results. He/She must already be; in possession of the degree and the mark sheet. Those taking any other course simultaneously with the B.Ed. course are not eligible. Admission will be granted on the basis of entrance tests comprising of a written test, group discussion and interview.


How to Apply:

Application forms may be had from the college office. It is to be duly filled in by the candidate and submitted to the office along with relevant documents by the dates indicated on the forms.

The relevant documents to be submitted along with the application form are the photocopies of:

  • Matric/B.S.E.B./C.B.S.E., Certificate and mark sheet.
  • Intermediate OR +2 mark sheet.
  • Degree mark sheet.
  • Caste Certificate in support of belonging to a Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class from a recognized authority.
  • A letter from the Head of the High School to support the claim of teaching experience for minimum 30 days(if applicable).
  • One recent passport-size photo.

The candidate whose application form is complete and with required documents will be eligible for entrance tests – written test, group discussion and personal interview by a board. Admit card will be issued by the office, when the application form is accepted.

At the time of Admission the candidate will be required to fill in the Admission Form and submit it along with the following original certificates:

  • College leaving certificate.
  • Migration Certificate(applies only to non-Magadh University students).
  • Caste Certificate (if S.C./S.T.)
  • A Letter of Release from the Head of the High school where the candidate is now teaching from minimum 30 days(if applicable).
  • Six copies of the recent passport size photo.

Admission to D.El.Ed. Programme:

Eligibility:

Candidates with at least 50% marks in Intermediate (+2) or its equivalent examination (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC).

Procedure for Counseling and Admission:

All admissions to the D.El.Ed. Programme will be made through a Common Entrance Test to be conducted by the College.

  1. On the basis of their performance in the entrance test, depending on their rank in the merit list of their respective category and subject category, candidates will be called for counseling. Display of name in the counseling list does not indicate final selection for admission. The list of candidates selected will be prepared strictly in order of merit, based on their performance in the Entrance Test.
  2. The candidates shortlisted for the counseling session must be present at the stipulated date and time, along with:
    • Photo ID Proof.
    • Admit Card of Entrance Test.
    • Two Photographs.
    • Original and two sets of photocopies of relevant documents.
  3. The candidates screened through the counseling will have to complete the admission related formalities within the stipulated period of time. If they fail to do so, the offer will be withdrawn and the seats will be allotted to candidates next in the merit list during the subsequent counseling. Their selection will stand automatically cancelled without any further notice. Candidates whose results are awaited at the time of application, and have passed the Common Entrance Test will be considered for admission only if their results are available at the time of counselling.
  4. The candidates selected for admission to the D.El.Ed. Programme, are required to complete the admission related formalities within the stipulated period of time including payment of requisite fees at the time of admission.
  5. Admission to D.El.Ed will be considered complete subject to the following:
    1. Payment of fee withing the prescribed time-limit.
    2. Submission of two latest paassport size photographs of the candidate and all requisite original certificate & documents along with the attested photocopies as specified below:
  6. Documents required for Counseling and Admission:
    1. High School/Secondary School Certificate for verification of date of birth.
    2. Detailed Statement of Marks in Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination.
    3. Provisional certificate or degree of the qualifying examination.
    4. Relevant certificates/documents from a competent authority, establishing the candidate's claim for reservation, for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
    5. Character Certificate from the institution last attended or any gazetted officer(valid for six months from the date of issue).
    6. In case of candidates in service, a No Objection Certificate from the employer and a letter of sanction of study leave for a period of two years.
